Femme Fever Events| Valentine’s Day Party

February 13, 2016 in Femme Fever Events

Happy Saturday beauties!

I wanted to share some great shots from our Femme Fever Valentines Day Party at Ringside Bar.

It was a bitter cold evening here on Long Island but we still had over 60 beautiful people show up for the festivities.

The DJ was rocking, the food was great and the people were beautiful and so friendly! What a great night.

Lots of Femme fever gals reuniting and plenty of new first timers joined us to share a wonderful evening of laughing, chatting and just having a great time!

Admirers, both male and female joined the Femme Fever party as well sharing their love for the community.

Our next party on March 10th, it’s sure to be packed as it is the last party before the long awaited FEMME FEVER GALA BALL on April 9th (monthly parties resume in May). Gala ball tickets are available for purchase at each Femme Fever party that takes place at Ringside Bar, as well as on the Femme Fever website www.femmefever.com or by clicking here.

As always, pre-party professional makeovers are available at the Days Inn Hicksville prior to our parties, so be sure to call (516) 520-0380 or email Karen@FemmeFever.com to book your appointment today!!

I can’t wait to see you all at the next Femme Fever party!!

Dear Femme Fever | Q & A

February 7, 2016 in Advice and Support / Dear Femme Fever Reader

Dear Femme Fever,

Last year I told my girlfriend about my desires to dress and to my surprise, she was pretty cool about it. She even bought me some sexy outfits and we had “play” nights… both of us dressed up. For about a year we were both into it and had a lot of fun sharing this side of me.

Now, all of a sudden she has told me that she doesn’t want to see me dressed anymore and hates it. She won’t discuss it and has told me that I should just be happy that I was able to express it with her for the time she went along with it.

What do you think is going on? Why would she do a complete 180?

Anonymous Misses

Dear Anonymous Misses,

I actually hear this a lot. My guess is that because she was “ok” with it, and it was so enjoyable for you that you perhaps overloaded her and your relationship with it. Things can start out as “ok” but quickly become not so ok if one party talks about it too much or makes it an essential part of the relationship.

Your partner wants to feel like she is all you need. Like this is fun and ok but once it becomes more important then she is, well…

Much like having a lover or cheating – this other woman in you must not take the attention away form your partner or it becomes a threat.

Also, it is apparent this was fun and games for her, which is great. But, she was attracted to you as a man and surely that is what she wants to see most of around the house. Perhaps you spent a bit too much time “dressed”?

My advice is always balance. And, should one be fortunate enough to have a partner who goes along with this side of you- I strongly advise to never give “it” more attention then you do her or push it on her. As that is a formula most often resulting in that complete 180 you wrote about.

I hope this advice helps a bit. Best of luck with everything.

We’ll be back next week with a new Q & A and remember ANYONE can send their questions to Karen@FemmeFever.com . Each week we’ll be choosing one question to answer on our blog.

And did I mention the food?! There was tons of great hot and cold food and the drinks, oh my the drinks they were terrific! The Lovely Robyn served as a server on the floor, bringing drinks right to the ladies as they mingled!

Miss Jackie Diamonds traveled in from Massachusetts to attend our Femme Fever party as well and ended up MC’ing on the microphone!! Wow , did she add pizazz to the party and guess what she’ll be back to party again with us next month! How’s that for a treat!!!

December 16, 2015 in Dear Femme Fever Reader

Hi there beauties!

I’m so excited to bring this NEW Q & A to the Femme Fever blog for our readers!

We all have questions we need answered at one point or another. Things we may be afraid to ask, questions that we think are so silly we just don’t want to ask them or even questions regarding things we’re just trying to figure out in our lives!

No one knows it all!

BUT, I have brought this new Q & A to the blog in hopes that I can offer some advice and even answer some of the questions people in this community may have!  Again, I am not a psychologist but your questions will be answered with my extensive experience within this community, offering the BEST possible advice I can give.

You can email your questions to Nina@FemmeFever.com and each week we will choose one question to answer on our blog. Be sure to add the subject title, Dear Femme Fever, to your email. All questions will remain anonymous.

Looking forward to answering your questions!!

The After Dinner Blues: The Undress and Grief

In the last year, I have had the privilege to meet many people who are bi-gendered. Mostly male to female, I dine with a group who meet at the same restaurant once a month. They are dressed, perfumed, perfectly made-up, and socializing with the affect and vibrancy of the women they carry within their biology.

The invitation to be part of their intimate journey has shown me their joy when they transform their look from male to female and the grief when they must undress her to enter back into the discomfort of the daily act. At the beginning of the evening, everyone is chatty, drink in hand, laughing, smiling, commenting on attire, make-up and just so happy to be out. Yet, as the evening gets closer to its end, the chit-chat wanes, the calm and joy slowly fade, as the pall of grief begins to surface.

Through the looking glass of transformation, it starts in their eyes and moves tenuously through their bodies. Walking a bit more stiffly, the elegance with which they swayed is now tempered by the resilience it takes to go back into the world as him and not her. The crisis of the soul is what causes the grief to surface. They face having to live a second life that is secret and discrete. As the sun sets and they go into the shadows of the night, they return home to wives or significant others, anxious and sad and perhaps a bit relieved. Relieved that they once again were able to mask what they have been doing. The grief involves the depth of sadness and anxiety that are aroused when she must go publically dormant. Becoming her relieves stress and anger as she steps into a power that is not honored or felt by him.

The next time you look into the eyes of someone who is struggling between two worlds, understand that you are seeing someone masking the complexion of their grief. The picture of being found out remains coursing through their brains even though they are compelled to honor who they dishonor throughout their days or weeks or years of living with two parts: the male and the female.

The Q&A | Before and After Series

December 2, 2015 in Before and After Makeovers

Hi there.

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.

I’m very excited to introduce this new Q & A, Before and After series to the Femme Fever blog. I felt that this series would be very beneficial to the community and to help those who may be struggling with their transition.

Each person that has participated in this Q & A series has signed a consent allowing us to share their interview with the community.

I hope you enjoy.

K: Thank you so much for sitting down with us today to do this Before and After, Q & A. It’s so great to have you be apart of this Femme Fever series.

K: Can you tell us your name?

C: It’s my pleasure, Karen. My name is Chelli Elizabeth.

K: Chelli, can you tell us a little about yourself.

C: Well, I’m a transgender woman not a cross dresser who just does this for fun. I’ve known all my life that I was different and that I always wanted to be a girl. When I’m dressed as a woman is when I feel myself and happy. I am seriously considering legally changing my gender very soon.

K: That’s great to hear Chelli.

K: Why have you chosen to be open about your before and after makeover on our blog?

C: Well Karen, I think it’s great way to show how we were meant to be and it’s always fun to see the difference between our male and female side.

K: I agree with you Chelli. I think it is very important for us to be the way we are meant to be. How we truly feel, deep down inside.

K: Chelli, can you tell us what brings joy to your life?

C: My family first and foremost, but the real joy for me is when I can actually be dressed as Chelli and get out and be a part of the general population.

K: That’s great to hear.

K: Chelli, Can you tell us what you do for fun?

C: Absolutely!! I love to travel and also enjoy spending time in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. I really want to go there with some of my girl friends and of course go as Chelli.

K: That sounds like fun!! I like Atlantic City too.

K: Can you tell us what was the last Femme Fever event you attended?

C: I went to the ball in April. I was a part of your team helping with the makeovers which was a great experience and I hope to do it again soon.

K: And you were great Chelli! I can’t wait for upcoming Gala Ball. It’s going to be incredible. So many new things are going to be added to it. It’s definitely going to be a great experience for everyone that attends!!!

K: Can you tell everyone about your personal experience attending the Femme Fever Gala Ball?

C: Sure thing! It was great. I got to meet up with some girlfriends and made a few new ones as well. The experience is one of a kind.

K: I love to hear that!! So great.

K: What do you love most about Femme Fever?

C: I love that Femme Fever gives us girls an outlet or venue to go to. Before I knew of Femme Fever I was at a loss as to where I could go or who I could talk to. I was very lonely and depressed. I was so happy when I was hired by you as a web designer to work on your site and update the boutique. You and I have become great friends and I wouldn’t want it any other way. You are truly so amazing. To be able to tell you something that is troubling me and you always taking the time to talk with me is incredible. Only someone who actually cares for their friends takes time out like that.

K: Chelli, your words truly mean so much to me. You are an amazing person yourself and I am so honored to know you and call you my friend.

K: Chelli, can you tell us where are you in regards to dressing? Is this your full time lifestyle? Or something you just do for fun?

C: I wish I was full-time. If I could right now, I’d live the rest of my life as the full-time woman I was meant to be. People who don’t understand the first thing they think about is the surgery. But we all know that’s not what defines us, it’s how we feel about ourselves. Thanks to the law change in New York, you can legally change your gender without the surgery. I intend to do that one day.

K: Chelli, thats great. Yes, New York and many other states have comes a long way, thankfully. We should all be able to live our lives in this world as we choose.

Here is Chelli Elizabeth’s BEFORE and AFTER photo.

Well, thanks again to Chelli Elizabeth for sharing this incredible interview with Femme Fever, the transgender and crossing dressing community and their loved ones. This will be such a great resource for so many people.

I hope this series will reach out and touch so many lives.

Have a beautiful day luvs.
